about

“The essential thing “in heaven and earth” is that there should be long obedience in the same direction; there thereby results, and has always resulted in the long run, something which has made life worth living.” -Frederick Nietzsche

Repetition and resistance are constant companions in life. They are nature's progressive way of reproducing, renewing, dare I say recreating itself.
We would be wrong to think and act
as if we are the exception to natures process. Repetition and resistance have been how I learn and understand the world and myself in it. It is the process by which I have been renewed and recreated.
The truth is, we are finding home.
We are becoming ourselves...... as we sojourn, as we ascend.
But to ascend does not look glorious.
It is struggle.
It is resistance.
It is cyclical and repetitious.
Mistakes are made and lessons are learned over and over and over and over again. It is easy to get discouraged and despair during this existential deconstruction......this death of what has already been and birth of what has not yet come.
Carl Jung pointed out that, "Neurosis is always a substitute for legitimate suffering."
To deny that life is difficult and full of suffering, is to avoid the truth....and truth is beautiful.
To "Ascend" is to accept suffering.
To "Ascend" is a long obedience.
